GP Appointments

In the morning, we operate a triage system from 08:00-10:00. Patients asking for an urgent on the day appointment or a home visit, are added to the triage list and patients are contacted by telephone by one of our doctors for clinical assessment. If an appointment or a visit is needed, the doctor will make the necessary arrangements at the time to be seen by the most appropriate clinician for the presenting condition and with the right appointment time.

Patients calling after 10:00 who have missed triage for that day will be signposted to the most appropriate service, or will be given information in regards to triage the next working day.

For routine GP appointments you will be added to the duty GP routine telephone list after 10:00 am for an initial telephone consultation. Please note the GP may call you one hour either side of the telephone appointment time given. Your telephone assessment will be made within 3 working days with the duty GP but more usually the same day.
